Grilled Cheese with Jalapeno, Tomato and Prosciutto

Everyone loves this favorite comfort food. This recipe is super simple and delicious.  This grilled cheese includes cheddar, gouda, jalapenos and tomatoes.

You will need:
  • White, sliced bread from a loaf.
  • 2 TBSP of butter
  • Pam
  • Cheddar (1 slice for each sandwich)
  • Gouda (1 slice for each sandwich)
  • Tomato (1 very thin slice for each sandwich)
  • Jalapeno (1-2 slices for each sandwich)
  • Prosciutto (1 slice for each sandwich)
Butter both sides of each piece of bread. Place cheddar on one piece of bread. Then add tomato
, jalapeno and prosciutto, Top with the gouda and then the other piece of bread. Pam a teflon pan and turn to medium heat. When the pan is heated, place
the sandwich on the pan. Heat each side for about 2 minutes each or until the sandwich has turned golden and "grilled" looking.  Goes great with french fries!

  1. This is a really good reminder that fall is here. A warm comfort food. I love the peppers with it. Can't wait to try this. Maybe with a tomato soup, do you have a recipe for that?

  2. I have no clue how to make a single soup. I also think soup is better when your mom makes it for you when you're sick. Grilled cheese is great with Tomato soup. The jalapenos were so good in this. I was inspired by a more complicated looking grilled cheese from Food and Wine that had jalapenos. Please try it! You can make it diet by using Pam instead of butter.

  3. Hi Tina - Thanks for recommending using a Teflon pan while making your amped up grilled cheese :). I represent DuPont and it's always a pleasure to see people recommending our products in their recipes.

If you are interested in some other recipes or great cookbooks to look at, drop me an email and I would be glad to help you out! Thanks. Cheers, Ross
